Ink & Insight: Comprehensive Rorschach Training using Beck System
From ink blot to clinical insight — live, case-based, Beck system.
About Course
Most clinicians know Rorschach exists. Few can actually administer, score, and interpret a protocol under live scrutiny — with the Beck system's specific coding rules, an anxious inquiry phase, and a client who won't say enough to score cleanly.
This program is built around that gap.
What this course delivers
Rather than revisiting Rorschach theory in the abstract, the focus is on how the Beck system functions in a real testing room — how to administer without leading, inquire without contaminating, and score with enough consistency to trust your own interpretation.
You will work through: – Understanding personality structure and where projective testing fits in a psychiatrist's diagnostic reasoning – Rorschach history and the Beck administration procedure – Conducting the inquiry phase and recording responses without bias – Coding determinants and location using the Beck system – Content and form analysis, popular responses, and special scores – Interpreting scored data into personality dynamics and clinical indicators – Integrating findings into a defensible clinical report
How the learning is structured
The teaching follows a clinical progression: Foundations → Administration → Inquiry & Recording → Scoring → Interpretation → Case Integration
Each stage builds into the next, mirroring the actual sequence of administering and reporting a Rorschach protocol.
Live format
This is a live, interactive workshop — 6 sessions over two weeks, not a self-paced recording. Each session runs 1 to 1.5 hours and includes direct case discussion and Q&A with faculty. Scoring and interpretation are practiced on live case material, not just demonstrated. Recordings of each session are made available for 1 month for review.
Approach and faculty
Taught jointly by a psychiatrist and a clinical psychologist, giving you both the diagnostic-reasoning lens and the testing-specialist lens on the same protocol.
Faculty: – Dr. (Prof) Adarsh Tripathi, MBBS, MD Psychiatry (KGMU, Lucknow), Ex-Professor of Psychiatry, KGMU
– Ms. Srishti Sahu, M.Phil Clinical Psychology (KGMU, Lucknow), RCI-Licensed Clinical Psychologist, PGIMER Chandigarh
Who this is meant for
This is intended for: – Psychiatrists and psychiatry residents – Clinical psychologists and M.Phil/PsyD trainees – Psychology students with relevant clinical exposure
It is not designed as an introductory or self-help course.
Access and certification
All 6 sessions are live and interactive, starting 31 July 2026. Recordings are available for 1 month after the live cohort ends. A certificate of participation is issued on attendance.
Outcome
The aim is not just familiarity with the Rorschach, but the ability to run one — to move from recognizing the inkblots to producing a scored, interpreted, clinically usable protocol.
